This is my unboxing and tech demo of the Maono AU-A04 Plus, Condenser Microphone kit which can be purchased from Amazon. I was looking for a test on a budget microphone that was under $50. Unfortunately, I went slightly over budget at $55, but am glad I did because of the results.

Today I’m taking a look at the MAONO AU-A04T Podcasting Kit. As the name states, this is a kit meant for podcasters. What does that mean? Well, it comes with a tabletop stand, pop filter, wind puff, shock mount, a two meter long USB cable, and of course the AU-A04 microphone itself.

As for the AU-A04, it’s a USB mic capable of recording at a maximum resolution of 192kHz/24bit, also known as high-res studio quality audio. Not even the Blue Yeti can compare to that unless you get the much more expensive Blue Yeti Pro.
