What a great night to be out and on the town! This Saturday we will be playing at one of our favorite local places in town… Waterworks! We will get things started around 7pm and keep the music going till 10pm. There is a $5 cover for the door. The drinks are always awesome and so is the food!!! See you there!

The New 76ers & Two Foot Level at Cascades Park this FRIDAY!


Oh man, we are SO excited for Friday’s show!  We get to share the stage with Two Foot Level at Cascades Amphitheater, as part of the Kraft Nissan Sundown Summer Concert Series!

The show is from 6:00 to 9:00 PM and it’s FREE!  Bring your family and a blanket and come enjoy an evening of great music. There will be food trucks on hand too. In addition to all of that awesomeness, ALL sales from beer & wine for the night go directly to Capital City Youth Services.

We hope you’ll come out & spend the evening with us at Cascades Park.

Sarasota Folk Festival here we come!!!

The Sarasota Folk Festival is held at the Oscar Scherer State Park in Osprey, FL. There are three stages of music all day from 10am to 10pm (Sat) and 10am to 5pm (Sun), with a jam tent for aspiring musicians and a workshop tent for those seeking up-close and personal tips and instructions from their favorite artists.

The gate opens at 9:30AM both days!!

There is a children’s area with workshops and fun events, right next to the park’s excellent playground and our Family Stage. They have folklife exhibits and quality vendors selling crafts and art as well as plenty of food vendors. Come enjoy this two day community folk event at the best park in the State of Florida!

Sunday(3/22): Mainstage – 1-2pm

Pleased as punch to be playing a festival with our friends Passerine, Lucky Mud, Liz and Lon Williamson, Grant Peeples, Brian Smalley, & Elaine Mahon! Also looking forward to catching other musicians like  Laney Jones & Lively Spirits, The Honey Creepers, & many others!

1st annual Fair-Weather Folk Festival!!!

We are really looking forward to being a part of the very first Fair-Weather Folk Festival!!! The festival is this Saturday, February 28th being held in the famous outside venue of The All Saints Hop Yard! The event is set up as a “showcase” for many of the folk / americana musicians in town and a major portion of the proceeds go to the musicians themselves.

The doors open at 2pm

$15 day pass and $7 for students with an id.

It’s an Americana kind of weekend!

The Last Bob Night!

This will be the very last Bob Night according to the man that started them all 6 years ago, Grant Peeples. We have had the privilege of being a part of Bob Nights since it has begun and are sad to see them go, but as one thing ends another begins. Roots & Wings Festival

We’ll be heading over to Lynn Haven, FL this Sunday for the First Annual Roots & Wings Festival!  Its a full day of concerts & workshops held at the legendary Roberts Hall (one of Hank Williams’ old haunts). We’ll be sharing the stage and collaborating with the amazing Brian Smalley, Lucky Mud and Kamm & MacDonald; and there will be workshops in songwriting, vocal/harmony & guitar.  Tickets are $25 for the day & include all workshops & concerts. The New 76ers hit up First Friday!!!


Tomorrow is First Friday!  And we are happy to say we’ll be playing at the All Saints Hop Yard.   And since it’s First Friday, we’ve got something super awesome planned… special guests!  We’ll welcome the band, Little Mystic, to play an opening set. The Grain will be set up as well for anyone looking to satisfy their food craving!!!  Here’s the skinny:

June Baby!

Can’t believe we’re already six months into the year!  We have had a few weeks off vacationing and such & we’re excited to be playing again.  Here’s where you can find us this month:


June 5th– FOOD TRUCK THURSDAY @ Lake Ella-  6:30-8:30 pm.  Come on out, bring a blanket & an appetite for some food truck yumminess!

June 14– Waterworks!  7-9 pm- FREE!

June 15– 1:00 pm – tune into “Legacies” on V89 (89.7 FM)- we’ll be playing a live

             3:00 pm – we’ll be at the American Legion Hall on Lake Ella to play a benefit for “Keep It Rural!”- tickets are $15.  Get more info here!

June 20–  Rethink Energy Florida’s “Energy Ball 2014”-  7-10:30 pm–  at the Los Robles Women’s Club (1513 Cristobal Dr.). Tickets are $30, $45 for couples, $15 for students & includes great food and music by Bedhead Betty, The New 76ers & Mark Russell.  All proceeds go to Rethink Florida Energy “Energy Camp” scholarships.  More info here!

3 Festivals in 1 Weekend!!!!

So we have a very busy weekend ahead of us! This Friday we will begin the awesomeness by heading up to Ochlocknee, GA. (right outside Thomasville) for the Great Southern Music Festival! This festival is one of the best bluegrass festivals in the South and has the best BBQ around!!!!

Saturday we will drive over to Monticello, FL for their Southern Music Rising festival! A great time to be had with many local musicians from Tallahassee and surrounding areas!

Sunday is Mothers Day and a special time to celebrate the women who brought us into the world! We are playing at the Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park for their annual Purple Hatters Ball. It is a great festival to commemorate loved ones that have left us. It is also a special occasion for us as Danny’s old band “Stillwood” will be joining together to play their first show in at least two years! Kelly and Brian will be joining friends the Avis Berry and Scott Campbell Band to create a soulful Sunday set!
